Are you like me? Do you love watching NFL football? No?! Well, chances are that you’ll tune in to watch the Super Bowl anyway — if only to see the commercials.
The leader so far for best commercial at Super Bowl XLV is Volkswagen’s “The Force” featuring a young Darth Vader attempting to learn “The Force.” The most controversial is HomeAway’s “Test Baby”, which features a baby slamming into a glass wall as a joke — they somehow figured this was the best way to promote vacation homes. Go figure.
In a departure this year, many brands tried to increase the buzz around their commercials by “leaking” them ahead of the big game between the Pitsburgh Steelers and the Green Bay Packers. They’ve been available for viewing for a few days on various social media sites including YouTube and Facebook, and on the brands’ Web sites.
